Copy Press/Blue Glass Information

I almost hate to lead with this again, but this is another site I have no personal experience writing for, but I have heard good things about them, so here goes.

How Many Articles and When Is Pay-Day?

CopyPress/BlueGlass writers are expected to be available to write ten articles per week, when needed. They pay twice a month, via PayPal.

Assignments and Copyright Ownership

Articles are assigned to writers, and according to the website, once submitted the work becomes the property of CopyPress/BlueGlass.

So, to what I have heard about them. I have heard they pay promptly on the dates promised and that the editors are very nice.

If you have an experience with CopyPress/Blue Glass you would like to share, I invite you to do so, and feel free to share a link to your website or blog if you share information about writing for CopyPress so my readers can visit your site if they like what you write.

  1. Being a brand new CopyPress writer, I don't have much experience with them yet, but I'd be happy to share what I've encountered there so far...

After a rather confusing sign-up process, I received emails stating that I would receive my first assignments on a specified day. This day came, and while I received a couple of emails, there were no instructions on the client's desired style, word count, pay rate or form at all.

Within the email, there is a deadline for acceptance, which I responded to in plenty of time (including a 3 hour time difference) asking what the specifics of the assignment were. No response from CopyPress at the time of deadline. So I have just lost out on my first assignments because of lack of instruction, time difference, and a very confusing process.

It should be known that I have been writing for the web through various web content mill sites, and understand the process very well. So far, CopyPress has been a big question mark in my mind, with seemingly no answers in sight. Even researching them on the internet does not yield much, which leaves me with a bad feeling in my gut.

Don't know if this has helped much, but I thought I'd share what little experience I have had with them so far.
