Paid Tweeting

If you have heard about people making money on Twitter, and wondered, hey, how do they do that? One way is by posting paid tweets.

A number of sites offer paid tweeting opportunities, and while I have not checked out very many of them, I would like to share information about Sponsored Tweets. (That is an affiliate link, by the way, just so you know and don't feel later like I am trying to trick you.)

How Much Does it Pay?

Sponsored Links advertisers offer pay according to what they are willing to pay per click, anywhere from a penny or two on up, and some offer pay simply for posting. (You have to read through the details of each offer to know which type you are agreeing to tweet.)

You also are offered a suggested price per tweet when you sign up, that price is based upon the number of Twitter followers you have. The site then sends you offers from advertisers based on the price you select.

Keep the Spam in the Small Can

My personal recommendation is to be sparing with paid tweeting, and also try to choose ads to tweet that are similar to your other posts, so you don't alienate your Twitter followers by making them feel like you are simply spamming them.
