When I published my ebook I didn't think it would be a big deal to go back later and polish up the description and add cover art. It turns out, however, that the book is disabled and waiting for approval each time changes are made.
I decided I needed to add some information to my new ebook's description. There was a little link in the status column giving me the option to update it. I thought I could improve the description in a way that better explained to a potential customer why they might find my book useful.
The part I didn't expect, possibly overlooked in my excitement, was when I clicked "update" it put my book back into draft mode, so it will be offline two more days until it is reviewed. Plus, it still has the placemarker cover, so I'm going to have to go back in next week when my cover art looks right and add that.
My advice, based on this, is don't get excited and be like me: take the time to get your book's description and book cover right the first time so it will not be disabled after you have the excitement of seeing it go live.
